The last race was run today, with winds in the 18-20 knots range. The overall winner is Andrew "Landy" Landenberger (AUS 308). Chris Field (GBR 7) at rank 2 is the European Champion. Brad Collet (AUS 10) gets the 3rd rank on the podium.
They are then followed by 4. Scott Anderson, 5. Manuel Calavia, 6. Steve Brewin, 7. Bob Baier, 8. Ben Moon, 9. Arno Terra and 10. Mike Drummond. Seeing how many world-class sailors are in the top-ten of this championship is a tribute to our class.
With Landy not running the last race, Steve Brewin got the bullet, followed by Scott Anderson and Chris Field at rank 3, Jack Benson 4 and Mike Drummond 5. Once again, the Aussies and Kiwis have showed how good they are on the water.
Looking at the European sailors only, we have the following ranking:
American boys have done a very good job as well:
The courageous women, for whom it was certainly hard to sail in the conditions of Lake Garda:
Nicole Salzmann, AUT 89, rank 64
And of course, these results would not be for real without a special mention to Scott Anderson (AUS 902), getting the rank 4 overall and first of the "Great Grand Master" category.
